Holy Trinity’s Concert Series Presents "Legends of the Harp" on Friday, Feb. 27

The Celtic Music Concert Series at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Ocean Beach continues with a performance by the acclaimed ensemble, Legends of the Harp, on Friday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 PM. The ensemble, featuring Patrick Ball, Lisa Lynne and Aryeh Frankfurter, will present a program entitled “The Door Between the Worlds” – a dramatic journey in music and story into the realms of the Celtic “Otherworld.” The Celtic people have always believed that there are two worlds. There is the world that we live in. And there is “The Otherworld.” This Land of Faery is filled with wonder and delight but also darkness and peril.  (read more...)

Western Anglicans Celebrate the Ordination and Consecration of The Rev. Dr. M. Keith Andrews as Bishop

“In a celebration presided by the Most Reverend Dr. Foley Beach, and witnessed by 800 lay, clergy, bishops and ecumenical partners, the Rev. Dr. M. Keith Andrews was ordained and consecrated as second Bishop of the Diocese of Western Anglicans, on January 25, 2015.

Bishop Andrews hails from Arizona, where he was rector of Living Faith Anglican Church, in Tempe. He was joined in the celebration by his wife, Mrs. Gail Andrews, daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bond, Ms. Madeline Andrews and mother Mrs. Marge Andrews.

Matthew Smith Concert at Anglican Church of the Resurrection on Feb. 8

Christian recording artist Matthew Smith will be performing a solo concert at Anglican Church of the Resurrection, San Marcos, on Sunday evening, February 8, beginning at 7 PM. Anglican/Lutheran Dialog Series Contines at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on January 20.

The next in the ongoing series of Anglican/Lutheran dialogs will be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, January 20, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, located at 6801 Easton Court, San Diego, CA 92120. Topics for this month's discussion will focus on penance/reconciliation and ministry to the sick/anointing of the sick. All interested clergy and parishioners are invited to attend.

New Bishop Consecration Details have been Released

The consecration of The Reverend Dr. M. Keith Andrews as the Second Bishop of the Diocese of Western Anglicans will be celebrated at 5:00PM on Sunday, January 25, 2015. The Most Reverend Dr. Foley Beach, Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America, will preside at the consecration. The service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 600 St. Andrews Road, Newport Beach, CA 92663. A reception will follow the service. All clergy and lay persons from within the Diocese, as well as all other friends and Ecumenical Partners, are invited to attend.
