Attention Cheapskates! Augustine's Confessions free this month at ChristianAudio.com

ChristianAudio.com is a wonderful web site for busy bookish types.   It's based right here in San Diego and is run by Dave Bruno, an old friend of mine from mega church days (Emmanuel Faith Community Church, Escondido).  One of the co-founders, Cory Vernor, attended Grace Episcopal Church in San Marcos with his family for a while until they figured out where the Episcopal Church was heading ('took 'em 'bout 10 minutes).  They packed up the children and headed back to evangelical safe harbor a.s.a.p.  A real loss for us, but we never blamed them of course.

Anyway, I digress...

Bleary Eyed Production Frenzy

Apologies for the radio silence of late.  You might have guessed I was taking a nice vacation.  I'm happy to report, however, quite the opposite. I'm absolutely drowning in a deluge of Anglican community and parish web projects at the moment.  Suddenly, it seems, everyone in the Western Anglican realignment has caught the bug to build.  About half of the projects are typical parish sites. The others are wider-scope, metropolitan and regional community sites like this one.

Anglican Heritage Tour in Ireland with Rev. Lawrence Bausch

Skellig Michael in IrelandExploring the Character of Ireland Tour. August 15 through 27, 2008 with Father Lawrence Bausch

"I really feel at home here with the early Christian church, its liturgy, its monasteries and its saints...."

We were standing in the ruins of Skellig Michael, known throughout the world of archaeology as the site of a well-preserved monastic outpost of the Early Christian period – now designated a World Heritage Site.

Temecula Church Plant Article

As mentioned in my earlier post about the new Temecula Valley Anglican Fellowship, I happened to be seated next to James Curran, staff writer from The Californian who was there to cover that innaugural gathering. He reports 75 in attendance that day while I said more like 60. As good Anglicans, you and I know the truth is via media (yes, that's exactly 67.5 people). Here is his article, which quotes Fr. Don Kroeger at length:

New church underlines Anglican divide
