Embarrassing?

A priest at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena recently commented on how the religious community was embarrassing in its support for Prop 8.  He then goes on to call that same community bigoted.  All Saints plans to go on blessing homosexual civil unions.  Let's discuss what's embarassing.  What's embarrassing are men who are more afraid of the opinions of men than the Lord.  What's embarrasing are men who have taken holy orders to protect and defend the faith but end up protecting and defending idolatrous pockets of culture antithetical to such faith.

What's embarrassing is a church that encourages new believers to continue in error and spiritually destructive behavior while proclaiming false news of forgiveness.  It is the pinnacle of irony that a church, the bride of Christ, promote expanding the institution of marriage while floundering in unequivocal adultery to the Lord.  Such shepherds would do well to look again

Most Interesting Seminarian in the World

Our very own Señor Davis Alenskis, now entering his third year at Westminster Theological Seminary, spent the summer visiting  our sister church and mission plants in Peru as well as interning in the Paris of the West, Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Indeed, David had the opportunity to learn from Archbishop Gregory Venables, Most Interesting Bishop in the World [production still in development].  It is a pleasure to know David and pick his learned brain.  As he catechised two of my daughter's prior to their becoming communicant members, I hold him in high regard.  He is a dear brother.

Something has been sown. What shall be reaped?

A recent survey by the Barna Group seems to indicate that the less a generation allows their lives to be influenced by Christ, the more tolerant the next generation becomes of unholy living.  Sounds familiar.  Psalm 78:8Luke 1:50Hebrews 3:10.  With shifting demographics, declining birth rates and escalating cos
