Teacher outrage over dues money to homosexual agenda

Discuss this one with teachers you know and families with kids in school.  I know otherwise secular families in my neighborhood who have no strong feelings on prop 8 but are just appalled by the public schools taking sides on this one.  They are voting Yes on 8.  Thanks CTA.

California Public Schools: Tax Dollars Undermining the Family

Here in California, a 7th grader will likely be given a ticket by a truancy cop if she ditches class and goes surfing.  If that same student, later that day, wants to  have a doctor cut up the unborn baby inside her, the student not only gets to skip class, but her parents never have to approve or even find out what happened.

To our knowledge our six year old hasn't discovered contraceptives, abortions or psychotropic drugs yet, so we'll probably leave him in the public system one more year.

However, for those of you with kids going into 7th grade or higher, make sure you are going in with your eyes open and your opt-out paperwork filed.

Janet Carney Video on Education

If you missed local AAC chapter presentation by Janet Carney on Christian Education, given at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Saturday, June 7th, you'll be glad to know we did catch the whole thing on video.

I attempted uploading the whole 1 1/2 hour thing to Google video--no small undertaking--but in the end, it didn't work out.

Some of you have asked about when this will be up.  I'll probably have to spend some time editing it down to highlights for posting to the web.  If you'd like a DVD of the whole thing in hi-res video, just send me $5 and your mailing address.

Otherwise, wait for the abridged version to appear in this space.

AAC General Meeting: On Education

Private School? Charter School? Boarding School? Home School? Military School? Catholic School? Montessori? Un-School?

How should Christians educate their children? Come to St. Dunstan's at 9:00 AM Saturday to hear international speaker Janet Carney on this important topic for concerned families, educators, and ministers seeking to raise up a Godly generation.

Hey Kids! Study Hard. Save Your Money. Go to Yale!

Apparently (will we ever really find out?), it's some twisted joke.

Sorry if this sounds a tad harsh, but seriously folks, who is more screwed up here--this bizarre woman or the prestigious university she attends that lets her go this far before they realize something just isn't right?

Just amazing that our society is capable of any of this, regardless of whether it was completely true to begin with or just a stupid hoax all along.

Tragedies Are Only Sad When They Couldn't Have Been Avoided (Seabury Announcement)

This month, we hear talk of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego now struggling to support 50% of it's congregations as missions. Earlier this week, the New York Times, yes, the New York Times asked whether or not PBS is worth saving from it's financial down-spiral. Earlier today, I get a letter from San Diego Schools Superintendent asking parents for ideas about how the district should deal with massive budget cuts coming to San Diego public schools. Tonight, I see that Seabury claims the distinct honor of being the first liberal Episcopal seminary to succumb to the economic realities of their increasingly irrelevant and disintegrating liberal protestant church.

Rumor has it that it's not just a Seabury problem. We could see other liberal Episcopal seminaries making similar announcements soon. Stay tuned.

Just remember, though, that all's well in liberal protestantism.
