change is coming

Pen Pals.

Archbishop Venables gets a letter from someone who signs her letters, "your servant in Christ." How nice.

Make no mistake. At the end of the day, Schori's strange complaint with ++Venables is that he is providing safe haven for congregations, clergy, property, and entire dioceses that would otherwise be content to leave Canterbury (New York in her mind) all together and migrate to more traditional and Biblically conservative church domains such as Rome, Constantinople, Geneva, Colorado Springs, you name it. Think about that strategy for a minute.

The many of us here in San Diego who have weighed that very decision of which denominational river to swim and have been graciously rescued by Archbishop Venables will have a rare chance to thank him in person, Wednesday 30th of April, upon his visit to St. Anne's Oceanside. (7:00 PM, see you there. Arrive early).

I for one am looking forward to that opportunity. I'm sure many of you out there are too. My family and I remain Anglican today because this man offered our clergy and congregations a place to worship.
