The Jerusalem Quadrilateral

Archbishop Gregory Venables of the Southern Cone of the Anglican Communion has recently visited North America. The effect of this visit depends upon where one stands in the divided field of North American Anglicanism. He inspired and heartened many but offended others who accused him of interfering in diocesan affairs in both the U.S. and Canada.

We Are the Cavalry: Video of Archbishop Venables in San Diego

If you attended this service at St. Anne's 30 April 2008 with Archbishop Venables and Bishop Atwood, you know this recording of that amazing evening is worth another listen.  If you weren't there, I urge you to set aside time to take in the homily at least.  I don't know of a more inspiring message for Anglicans feeling the weight of this present struggle for the faith.

See several other interviews and captures of Archbishop Venables on AnglicanTV.org.

Pen Pals.

Archbishop Venables gets a letter from someone who signs her letters, "your servant in Christ." How nice.

Make no mistake. At the end of the day, Schori's strange complaint with ++Venables is that he is providing safe haven for congregations, clergy, property, and entire dioceses that would otherwise be content to leave Canterbury (New York in her mind) all together and migrate to more traditional and Biblically conservative church domains such as Rome, Constantinople, Geneva, Colorado Springs, you name it. Think about that strategy for a minute.
