Defense of Human Life and Global Thermonuclear Democrat Party Meltdown

Warning. I'm about to raise my dress and show a bit of political ankle here.  Avert your eyes.

I'm sure you've already seen this, and it has very little to do with Anglicanism in San Diego, except that it concerns a potentially brighter future for the lives of unborn children in this country.

From the now-famous politico story

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate "whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Palin is an opponent of abortion rights and gave birth to her fifth child, Trig, earlier this year after finding out during her pregnancy that the baby had Down syndrome.

For a woman to carry and raise a baby with Down syndrome while maintaining a far more successful political career than Carol Fowler doesn't get you very far with Carol Fowler now, does it?   So classy.

Between that and Senator Joe Biden's statement today concerning Obama's mistake in choosing him for Veep, one is tempted to hope again of getting candidates in office this election who understand, appreciate, and defend human life.

(responding to a question posed to him about Hillary...)

she’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America, and quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me. But she’s first rate, I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate, so let’s get that straight.

Wow.  Strategically, of course, we agree with you, Senator Biden.  Indeed, Obama has made a nearly if not completely fatal mistake.  It happens with unexperienced types.  Thanks for playing.  See you guys again in 2012, Lord willing.

And, the unborn also thank you.
