House of Delegates Votes for the Next Bishop

The Diocesan House of Delegates met on Saturday, May 10, in Long Beach, for the primary purpose of certifying the candidates for bishop and forwarding the names to the College of Bishops for their final selection at the end of June. The House of Delegates is comprised of the active clergy of the diocese plus lay candidates from each parish. The Diocesan office has released additional audio and video files from the “Meet the Candidates for Bishop” forum held in Phoenix, AZ.

San Diego Anglican Night at the Padres Scheduled for July 18

Planning is well underway for the next San Diego Anglicans Night at the Padres. 160 tickets have been reserved and they are going fast. The Night at the Padres is scheduled for Friday, July 18, when the San Diego Padres will host the New York Mets. Members of all local Anglican churches are invited to participate.

The cost for the event is $20 per seat, which is a significant discount over the normal $40 face value of the seats. In addition, each ticket will come with two coupons, each of which is good for a hot dog and soft drink. The seats are located directly above home plate in Upper Deck Section 300.
