The Rt. Rev. Frank Lyons to be Vicar-General of the Diocese of Western Anglicans

As reported earlier, the ACNA College of Bishops was forced to defer selection of a new bishop for the Diocese of Western Anglicans at their recently concluded meeting in Latrobe, PA. This was due to the fact that their deliberations in selecting a new archbishop for the ANCA consumed all of their available time and energy and they had to adjourn before considering a new bishop for the DWA. The College plans to select the new bishop for the DWA at their next meeting, scheduled to take place in October.

In the meantime, Archbishop Robert Duncan has appointed the Rt. Rev. Frank Lyons to be the Vicar-General of the diocese. Bishop Lyons will oversee the diocese and perform all necessary episcopal duties (ordinations, confirmations, etc.) until a permanent bishop can be selected. &nbsp&nbsp(read more...)
