Holy Trinity Parish of Ocean Beach is presenting Jim Malcomb in concert as part of their ongoing Concert Series on Friday, January 17, at 7:30 PM.
Jim Malcolm is the ultimate Scots troubadour. Travelling the world with his guitar, harmonicas, and engaging wit, he sings the traditional songs of Scotland and his own masterfully crafted songs in a style which is modern and accessible, yet utterly authentic. With the announcement of the upcoming retirement of our current Bishop, Bill Thompson, this coming summer, the process to identify the next bishop for the Diocese of Western Anglicans has begun. The first step taken was for the Diocesan Executive Committee to appoint members for the Bishop’s Nominating Committee. Four members of the Executive Committee (two clergy and two laypersons) and eight members of the House of Delegates (four clergy and four laypersons) have been appointed after review and consideration of submitted applications. Former Executive Committee member Roger Pelham was appointed to be chairman of the nominating committee.   (read more...)
