Lenten Quiet Morning Planned at Holy Spirit Anglican Church in San Diego

A Lenten “Quiet Morning” with the theme “Healing from the Fall” has been scheduled for Saturday, March 29, at Holy Spirit Anglican Church. The event, which is being sponsored by Holy Spirit Anglican Church and San Diego Anglicans, is described as a morning for reflection and prayer. Rooted Retreat 2014 set for April 4-6

Amy Dewey and Fr. Caleb Hummel have announced that this year’s Rooted Retreat will be held on April 4-6 at Green Oak Ranch in Vista, CA. The retreat is intended for all youth in grades 6-12.

Fr. Brian Hughes will be the keynote speaker for the weekend and Fr. Jamal Scarlett will be leading the music. This year's theme is “Give it Away: Living a Generous Life.” The program activities will help participants learn what it means to live a life full of generosity (as defined in the Bible) in today's world and culture. &nbsp&nbsp(read more...)

Lenten Devotional Booklet from Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church

Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Yuma has released a devotional booklet for use during the Lenten season. The rector, Fr. Austin Mansfield, reports that the daily devotional reflections have been prepared and shared by members of the church family at Christ the Redeemer. Each day’s devotion includes a listing of the readings appointed for the day. The devotional booklet also includes a section containing information about the history, spiritual practices, and traditions of Lent, prepared by The Prayer Foundation (http://prayerfoundation.org).
